Maintenance Projects Manager
A permanent position, based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire, offering a fantastic salary and benefits package.
1.Purpose
The delivery of Maintenance Projects and to provide leadership and direction in an efficient and effective manner for the support staff in the delivery of the STM task. .

2.Scope
The Maintenance Projects Manager will be responsible to the Maintenance Manager/Chief Engineer for:
• Ensuring that all assigned projects are completed in accordance
with the agreed targets.
• The management of the following support elements of STM:
oThe STM Structures Team.
oThe STM Surface Finish Team.
oThe STM Training and Compliance Co-ordinator
3.Accountabilities
•Identify within the Sentry programme opportunities to exploit the wider Aviation Services (UK) capability in the support of military maintenance activities.
•Provide effective leadership and management of the STM workforce deployed to support Sentry maintenance activities under his control.
•Develop and maintain an effective and efficient working relationship with partnered companies within the Sentry Whole Life Support Programme.
•Promote the support available from both Waddington and Bournemouth, to ensure Sentry Whole Life Support Programme targets are met.
•Ensure the highest maintenance standards are met and maintained.
•Exercise airworthiness management control of the Sentry maintenance as dictated through the JAP100A-01.
•Compile reports, project plans and record metrics using the Microsoft Office suite as directed by the Sentry Contract Manager/Chief Engineer.
•Effective management and delivery of the STM Projects allocated to him.
•Management of the STM maintenance support task.
*Ensuring that engineering standards and practices are maintained
and that flight safety regulations are properly observed.
*Ensure that all Safety, Health, Fire and Environmental
requirements are observed by all STM members under his control.
*Be responsible for the discipline and morale of his staff.
•Assist the Maintenance Operations Manager as required.
•Assume the responsibilities of the Maintenance Operations Manager when so required.
•Assume the responsibilities of the Chief Engineer/ Maintenance Manager when so required.
4.Experience
•Previous experience in a junior management position within an aircraft maintenance organisation.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager within an aircraft
maintenance organisation
